Collection for Beesley Animal Clinic

UUFM is collecting items for the Beesley Animal Clinic during the months of June and July. The Beesley Animal Clinic offers affordable spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs, works to increase responsible pet ownership by providing educational programs in our schools, and aids rescue groups and feral cat rescues. We are collecting the following items for donation:

  • Clean used towels
  • Large cotton balls
  • Sandwich & gallon-size zipper baggies

Please bring items to Sunday service and place them in the large donation box.  To keep costs low, Beesley depends on generous donations.

Are you ready for the Great American Eclipse of 2017?

On August 21, we in Middle Tennessee are in for one of nature's most impressive events: a total solar eclipse. Murfreesboro is almost in the exact center of the eclipse path, which begins at 10:46 am. The full eclipse begins 11:48 am, and totality occurs at 1:21 pm. This is the first total eclipse of the Sun visible from all 48 contiguous United States since 1979. The last time a total eclipse was visible from coast-to-coast was June 8, 1918. There will be a couple of second hours devoted to the eclipse, how to safely view it, and what causes it. Be sure to set aside time to view this quite impressive phenomenon; the next time a full solar eclipse in Murfreesboro is in approximately 500 + years.
